Follow these steps to change between languages on Mondly via your web browser:
1. Log into Mondly’s platform via your favorite web browser.
2. On the homepage, click on your profile icon or the flag icon representing your current language. You can see my target language is currently set to American English.
3. Next, a window will pop up on your screen. On the left menu, click “Wählen Sie Ihre Sprache” if it’s not selected (the second option on the drop down menu). On the right, click “Edit Selected.” Alternatively, you can click on the little pen icon on the bottom right of the language.
4. On the language selection screen, you can easily change your input or target language.
5. Click the dropdown arrow next to the language in “Ich möchte lernen” (or the second drop option related to what language you want to learn)
8. You can also select the difficulty level (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced).
9. Click “Speichern” (the orange button at the bottom) and you are now ready to start learning the next language.
The next time you want to switch to another language on Mondly, follow steps 1 to 3.
Instead of having to choose a new language, your selection of lingos will appear next to each other, and you can click “Neue Sprache hinzufügen” to add a new language. Or use the “Edit selected” button.
Using the Mondly Mobile App
It’s easier to change languages on the app.
Follow these steps to change between languages on Mondly via the mobile app:
1. Open the app and tap your profile with the language flag icon on the top left.
2. Head to “Wählen Sie Ihre Sprache” where you can see I’m learning Spanish at the moment.
6. You can choose whether you want to do the beginner, intermediate, or advanced level of your new language.
7. Tap “Speichern” (the purple button at the bottom) and then you’re all set to start learning the next language.
As with the Mondly web browser, you can more easily switch between languages once you’ve selected them.
See? Here I can switch from Italian to Spanish by simply tapping on the lingos—instead of adding a language again.
